Starting with high-quality organic raw California almonds, we gently stone-grind our almond butter filling at low temperatures to preserve nutrients and flavor, and add a touch of fleur de sel and caramel-y yacon syrup (a naturally low-glycemic sweetener) to take it to the next level. We like to compare it to chocolate chip cookie dough 🍪
I love this truffle. The flavors compliment each other very nicely. It's sweet, but not too sweet. There's a tiny tangy note as if it were really cookie dough which just makes the whole experience come together.
After trying the Golden Milk truffles I hoped that I would enjoy these truffles because they don't contain stevia. Unfortunately the almond butter doesn't mask the flavor of the artificial sweeteners which I cannot tolerate. I'm bummed! They look incredible.
We love the strawberry truffles. These first cousins are nice and chocolatey and subtly sweet, but lack the rich, luscious cookie dough flavor I was hoping for. It could also be that the strawberry truffles are just so outstandingly good that these just can't compare?
